Trinity model, detailSargent used wooden planks held together with vertical battens for Trinity and Frieze of Angels, the two model sections that make up Dogma of the Redemption. Both sections have additional wooden attachments on either side that join to form a continuous slot for a sliding batten. This system enables the lunette and frieze to be properly aligned and connected. Sargent presumably used the holes and grooves around the perimeter of the structure to attach the Dogma of the Redemption sections easily—but not permanently—to the vaulting and side wall sections.
